Week 1 - Planning for Growth In the first class of the course we will go over your sales goals. How do you plan for growth? Which areas do you need to focus on first? The frustration point all of my students have is which area should they focus on first. We cover this and more in the first course.
Week 2 - Sourcing & Sampling
Where do you source products? How do you know which ones are reputable suppliers? In this course I go over best practices and tactics and share with you my emails that I send to new suppliers. I also share with you my places I go to source materials for my private coaching clients.
Week 3 - Merchandising Calendar
Retail deliveries often confuse many a designer. Retailers buy so far out into the future. In this class I will go over the trade show schedule for the US market and the regional markets and what the buyer normally buys and when. This class is invaluable when planning your business.
Week 4 - Manufacturing
Whether you are manufacturing in the US or overseas, this class will go over the basics such as purchase orders, payment terms, delivery, shipping your product to you, production timelines and much more. You will receive the production order templates I use.
Week 5 - Sales & Trade Shows
Are trade shows dead? Many designers have stopped doing trade shows. I will share with you my tips for doing trade shows and go over the pros and cons of doing the shows. If you are not doing trade shows, I share strategies to get sales in house.
Week 6 - Online Sales
What is the best website for your brand? Do you need a website even? What if you sell on ETSY? How much should you spend on your website? I touch on all of these topics including my favorite website builder and my tips for having your website convert into sales!
Week 7 - Gifting, Bloggers & Outreach
If you have a limited budget, using bloggers is the way to go. What is the secret sauce to get your product onto the celebrities? How do you get bloggers to write about your brand. Are gifting suites worth the money? I share my strategies and ideas on how to get your product out there.
Week 8 - LIVE Training Call
The last class of the series will be a LIVE call (which will be recorded). Christine will go over any unanswered questions and will do live coaching on the call to make sure any and all questions get answered.
