Marketing Budget on $100
marketing Oct 04, 2016
If I only had a marketing budget of $100 and I was launching at a trade show, here is how I would allocate my money.
$40 on postcards (bought through Vistaprint.com or some other cheap printing place)
$20 on business cards
$20 for linesheets
$20 for purchase orders
I would not give out linesheets unless absolutely necessary. I would only bring around 20 to the trade show. I would instead take all the buyer’s who are interested in my line and send them an email that night with the linesheet. If you have the ability to have your laptop at the trade show with you and can send from the show site, even better.
I take all the business cards I received and add them to my mailing list. If you like to be old school and use paper and pencil, then that is fine. However, you can use CRM (customer relationship management) software through Quickbooks or even with Gmail. I just read about this software called Streak which is CRM in your Inbox.
There are many free or low cost tools out there to help you grow your business so you can focus on growing your business and not being caught up in the minutae of running a product-based business.
